Ty Bonnar PCADS Inventor

Ty has devoted his life to fabricating a wide range of solutions for use in military and commercial applications.

 

Leveraging more than two decades of expertise spearheading the PCADS program in collaboration with engineering teams from Boeing and the US Air Force, he successfully assembled a team of exceptionally skilled, world-class professionals. This team is entrusted with overseeing operations and delivering top-tier training to end-user groups, underscoring Ty's unwavering commitment to excellence in the PCADS program.

Matt Schuler - Chief Strategy Officer

Matt brings a wealth of experience to the team from his career in manufacturing, supply chain, & innovative consulting work.

As our Chief Strategy Officer, Matt fulfills a pivotal role in forging collaborations with heads of state and military departments. He serves as the primary liaison, diligently working alongside these stakeholders and partners to ensure the seamless execution of all missions.

 

With an unwavering commitment to success, Matt's globetrotting endeavors take him to all corners of the world, where he engages with clients and partners, ensuring the triumph of their projects.

In addition to managing corporate strategy, Matt plays a key role in PCADS training, and demonstrations, and is FAA licensed for commercial drone operations.

Brigadier General Harold "Cec" Reed, USAF (ret.) - Governmental Affairs Officer & Chief Flight Instructor

Cec is a globally recognized C-130 Subject Matter Expert (SME) with an illustrious 44-year career in the United States Air Force. He has earned 27 decorations over the course of his distinguished service and continues to contribute to national defense and aviation excellence as the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) Air Resolution Chair. He is also a full-time flight instructor, holding all FAA Certified Flight Instructor ratings.

Cec’s leadership roles have spanned local, state, and national levels. He served as the Assistant Adjutant General (ATAG) of Wyoming, where he was responsible for high-level coordination and oversight of Air National Guard operations across the state. He also served as the Chief of Staff of the Wyoming Air National Guard, and was Dual-Hatted as the Assistant to the Commander of the 18th Air Force at Scott Air Force Base—headquarters of the Major Command Air Mobility Command (AMC).

Throughout his career, Cec chaired several key national councils, including the Air Directorate Field Advisory Council, the C-130 Weapons System Council, and the C-130 Operations Group Council. He also served as a FEMA liaison during multiple major disaster response operations, including Hurricane Katrina, playing a pivotal role in coordinating military air support for civil emergency efforts.

A pioneer in aerial operations, Cec is credited with introducing the use of Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) in 1994, significantly enhancing the operational capabilities of C-130 units. He has extensive experience conducting low-altitude airdrop and aerial firefighting missions during both day and night operations.

Cec’s operational resume includes over 10,000 flight hours in the C-130, with more than 2,000 combat hours. His squadron was the first to utilize NVG capabilities in combat, leading missions during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Cec is widely regarded as an innovative and mission-focused leader whose strategic foresight and operational contributions have left a lasting legacy in the field of military aviation.

SMSgt Troy Firzlaff MBA, USAF (ret.) - Director of Operations

​Troy is a seasoned USAF veteran and Certified Project Manager with over 30 years of experience in aerial delivery & defense program management. Throughout his military career, he served in various capacities including as an Evaluator/Instructor, C-17 Loadmaster, and MAJCOM Exercise Coordinator. He has hands-on experience in Combat Airdrop, Test and Evaluation, Project Development, Program Management, and acted as Airdrop Malfunction Review Officer.

Troy was responsible for leading the Joint Base Self-Inspection Program and was instrumental in supervising numerous emergency management exercises. He also played a key role in several large-scale MAJCOM-level acquisitions as a Test Manager, including the High-Speed/Extracted CDS, T-11 Paratrooper Chute Transition for the US Army, Improved Container Delivery System (ICDS) Dropsonde 3.0, JPADS (Joint Precision Aerial Delivery System) 2K/4K/10K, and the Wireless Gate Release System (WGRS).

MSgt Marc Martindale, USAF (ret.) - Special Projects & Training Director

Marc Martindale is a highly experienced and knowledgeable individual who brings a wealth of expertise to the Saint Industries team. He is a retired USAF C-130 Loadmaster with 22 years of experience in various areas such as combat airdrop, test and evaluation, joint airdrop inspection, program management, and liaison work with government agencies.

 

He has extensive experience in managing and being the Chair of numerous programs at the Department of Defense and has interfaced with multiple military departments, civilian entities, and government agencies. He has authored several test plans and procedures and overseen rail-car impact tests and ammunition rigging designs.
